TIP SHEET Available for Meeting & Talking with Legislators
Want to know what to say to policymakers, legislators and their staff? Wondering how to set up appointments and reach out to local legislators and their staff? Check out the excellent and informative “Meeting with Your Legislator Tip Sheet" for PA-PNA members and stakeholders. Thank you Kim Delbo, Nurse Administrator at Central Susquehanna Career Center for preparing it; you'll also find a link for directions, parking and a map.

When you meet with stakeholders, be sure to share our three Infographics that you can download and print from PN FAST FACTS section of this website.

We also recommend that you share local employment figures with your local state representatives and their staff. This is also helpful when talking to your local policy, civic and business leaders so they appreciate the significant numbers of Practical Nurses working in their communities.

So, feel free to also download the County employment rates throughout the state taken from the 2014 Pulse of Pennsylvania's LPN Workforce Report.
"Day On The Hill" Policy Rounds on October 18th, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
We launched our Licensed Practical Nursing advocacy efforts with the first PA-PNA "Day on The Hill" event to educate legislators, their staff, policymakers, and organizations who share our vision of Practical Nursing in Pennsylvania on the trends, contributions and issues facing our practice of nursing.

We started day with a breakfast at the State Capitol and then disperse to meet with local legislators and policymakers. After sharing the White Paper and Infographics at these meetings, we re-grouped to share our observations and insights.
